I just bought a Roam today and having the same issue. Spotify works fine. I have an old ipad with the old sonos s2 app and the same. Seems to be a roam to apple issue because all my other speakers work with the apple service in the house
Do you have other Sonos speakers? I just received a new Move 2 today and had the same issue. Tried chat help and all basic troubleshooting and nothing.
As of about 20 mins ago it works. The only thing I had done is that I was playing some music via bluetooth through the Move and in the app I added my other Arc living room speaker group to the output to play it on both the new Move and the existing Arc setup. A while later I tried apple music on the Move again and it worked. I am wondering if combining them to have sound from all is what fixed it.
can’t imagine buying anything new from SONOS right now with this busted app debacle
can’t imagine buying anything new from SONOS ever after this royal cock up

I just tried using my Beam with my Roam and but now its working. Not sure if its @Drayden workaround or they fixed the issue.
Weirdly, a couple of hours after I started trying to sort this, I (because I was bored, desperate whatever), tried deleting the app, reinstalling it, re-adding Apple Music as a source, and it worked.
all of which I’d already tried.
Hello, just got the Roam SL yesterday, and I am getting the same issue, works with Sonos music but does not play Apple music from the Sonos app. It starts and pauses right away, no sounds. For the play list, it just goes from one song to the other every 2 seconds, it’s like it starts for a splits second and stops and move to the next one. Tried deleting Sonos app, and re installing and re-installed the Apple music service twice, still same issue. Any other suggestions? Thanks !
@JSR73 have you got another speaker to pair up with? @Sonos is there a fix or workaround, seems to be an out of the box experience with differing results to fix.

I just kept doing that out of desperation and eventually it worked. No idea why.
Holey moley folks, it is working now!! Tried again the Apple music reload, tried to pair (pairing did not work as it seems like Roam and Era are not compatible?) and finally, i just did a factory reset on the Roam, by holding the power and play buttons for a fee seconds until the status light disappears, then the power amber light disappears. Pressed the power button to start it again and it is now working!! What a process!! Thanks for all the replies trying to sort this out!!
I have this exact problem — I’ve tried doing a factory reset on the speaker and disconnecting and reconnecting my Apple Music account, but nothing seems to work
Sonos, this is not okay.
