Apple Music and bandwith

When I try to play any music on Apple Music I am told by the controller that it cannot play the music as there is not enough bandwidth and that I need to check my internet connection. However, the app works fine with Amazon Prime music and the Apple Music app plays fine with Apple Music. So there seems to be some misconnection between Sonos and my network connection. Changing networks, trying a different Mac, varying network settings etc does not change the situation: no Apple Music.

Any thoughts on what’s happening and what I need to do to fix the problem?

Just try rebooting the Sonos units (power off for 30 seconds, then on again). There could be a DNS glitch.

I’d be awfully tempted to reboot the router, as well, particularly if the DNS was messed up in its own memory.

‘Best’ answer did not work. How then could it be the ‘best’?

Best answer was actually to update software throughout the system. That worked!

I think we all assumed that your Sonos software was up to date, although you didn’t specify.
