Is is possible that the controller app more or less works on android, and doesn’t work at all on ios? That’s my experience.

People are having issues with both platforms. On your iOS device try deleting it and reinstalling.

While it’s possible in your specific circumstances, this is not the general case.

We need more information about your SONOS system, controllers that you are using, and your network. There are lots of updates buzzing around. I suggest that you refrain from updating or Factory Reset without further consult. Which version of the controller is installed on your Android and iOS device?

On android I have 80.02.05. On ios I have 80.01.30.  There are no updates in the apple app store,  so I have been assuming this is the current version.

My networks and stuff has not changed in years. It’s fully STP set up, servers has SMB2.

With those versions, looks like I do need to uninstall the ios controller and re-install, yes?

Latest version for IOS should be 80.02.04, according to ipaarchive:

866415526 80.02.04 / 80.02.04 2024-06-03 15:33:46

Here are the latest releases.

So is it true that normal update via app store doesn’t work any more? In the past I just went into app store and looked for updated, said “ok, update” and it did. I guess now you have to find the Sonos app specifically as see if it has an update for you?

tx.

When an update is released, notices are sent out. I assume that the notice that I pointed to will be the first available to us. With respect to Apple, they will review the update prior to updating the Store.

I’m not sure about SONOS, but I deal directly with another developer who will release a new version of his App directly to me at the same time he releases it to the App Store. The Apple review process is not always prompt. It can take a day or two or three until the new version is available from the App Store.
