It’s been months, and honestly since the app update, the app will show the music is playing but there is no audio coming out. I have to group the speakers to get the audio to start playing again and then after a few hours the audio will stop again.

I’ve re set, re booted, changed the wifi, re set the wifi, re downloaded the app, alternated the wifi channels on the app, sent diagnostics, asked for help in the chat and nothing has resolved. I’ve never had this issue but for months I cannot get them to consistently play anymore.

Chat keeps telling me “everything shows it’s up to date and fine” but it’s been not working for a while and I’m out of ideas. Any one else have similar issue?

I recently activated a free trial of Apple Music because I wanted to see what the difference is between Apple and Amazon music. My home is filled with Apple products and Sonos products.

I have experienced the same issue that you are describing, but only when there is a network issue.

I live in the midwest so it happens in my truck when I drive out of town and the cell service is not so great. It has happened at the Gym where the WIFI is not so great. It has happened at work when the WIFI becomes congested and the bandwidth quota has been reached, when everyone is at work.

I never have a problem at home. 6 of my 11 speakers are hardwired to my network and even when the new app was introduced, I only had minor annoyances, like the volume issue and the missing functionality. I never had issues with connectivity or the music dropping out.

I may sound like a broken record when I say this, but with the issues you have described, the problem has to be with your network. Enabling mDNS has solved some connection issues for many, but i would suggest hardwiring your One SL to your router to see if the problem persists. If it solves your issues, consider making that connection permanent.

Sure, Sonos is marketed as a wireless audio solution, but sometimes that ethernet port at the back of some speakers can save you some headaches.
