We used the sleep timer every night to turn off the sound in our bedroom, then it was just gone when the app updated.  One of the updates said the sleep timer returned and every once in awhile we would stumble across it but it never made sense when it appeared or didn’t.

Finally figured out that it only shows up when you are playing a music source and not when using line in.  So now every night I have to mute the sound, change my source to music, set the the sleep timer, switch back to line in, and unmute.  This is a ridiculouse work around, when is this feature going to be fully retored?  This equipment is way to expensive to be dealing with an app that should not even be in production!

Hi @thisNewAppStinks

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

There are no bug-trackers matching your description, and I was not aware that there was a change in behaviour, so I have tagged this thread as a feature request - it will be seen by the appropriate teams for consideration. If the Sleep Timer option was available with Line-In before, there’s a fair chance it will be added back on.

Thanks for the feedback!

Sleep timer is not availible when the source is line in only when playing a music source.  See images below.  The kebab menu can be accessed when using apple music source but not line in.  This was not the case before the new app was released.

Hi @thisNewAppStinks

Yes - as the system has no info regarding what is playing on Line-In, there is no 3-dot menu. But, no 3-dot menu means nowhere to put the Sleep Timer.

It seems like a deliberate design choice, but it’s perhaps accidental that Sleep Timer now has nowhere to be, but can be needed for Line-In.

Just in case this is a bug, I have reported it.

thanks

The sleep timer is now available on the line screen after last update.
