Android tablet landscape mode - regression?

Overnight my Sonos apps reset and updated -- now landscape mode on an android tablet no longer works.  I am on the new and “improved” app, using a Lenovo Tab M8 (TB-8505FS).  This is Sonos version 80.02.07, released 6/5/2024 and updated from Google Play store on June 7.  

I use this android tablet on a dock as a Sonos controller, so the removal or regression on landscape mode is a problem.  My iPad continues to work in landscape at this moment.   

Also, on this device, the Sonos splash screen has the logo chopped off left and right - does Sonos team even test the basics?
