Hello,

Starting 2 days ago, the app crashed when I start it from the icon on the homescreen, but not when I start it from the icon in the apps menu.  Why might this be happening?  I’m on a Samsung galaxy A7.

Hi @aliceofdoom,

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this, it’s a very strange issue. I tested on my Galaxy S22 and this problem doesn’t occur, though this could be a device specific issue.

Make sure you’re running the latest Android OS and Sonos app then try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Remove the app from the home screen then re-add it.
  • Restart your Galaxy A7 by holding the side button (not Power Off).
  • Reset the Sonos app.
  • Reinstall the Sonos app.

Resetting or reinstalling the app wont effect your system as the app is just a controller, so you’re safe to do these as troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps and please let me know if one of these steps resolves the issue for you!
