It still seems that the latest version of the Android App is missing the TruePlay toggle. This is annoying in itself, but I also have an iPhone so have performed TruePlay tuning on that recently.

My question is - is the TruePlay tuning running at all times? If I can't see the option to toggle on/off in the Android app, does that mean it's not running (or turns off) every time I use my Android app to control my system...? The surround sound options show something like "distance to left/right speaker > 2ft", whereas it used to be greyed out on the old Android app if TruePlay was enabled. What does this mean? When I access the system from my iPhone, TruePlay is there and is toggled on. But is it on only when I access it again with my iPhone..?

Anyone have any idea here? (Probably not Sonos 😄)

Android has never supported Trueplay. You need a supported iPhone/iPad to setup and manage Trueplay, but it then runs on the player and you could uninstall the controller App and Trueplay would still do its job.

Umm, don't think you read my post properly…

There used to be a TruePlay toggle on the Android app which worked if you had previously tuned it using an Apple device. I have an iPhone and have successfully done the TruePlay tuning. The toggle for TruePlay is no longer there in the new Android app as it was before in this exact same situation.

The Trueplay equalization is setup using iPhone/iPad and becomes part of the player’s signal processing. The Android controllers currently cannot toggle Trueplay processing ON and OFF while playing music.

The good old 16.1 app has Trueplay toggle and auto tuning on Android.

Perhaps it is device dependent and enabled only on newer Sonos speakers?

Anyway, It definitely works on my Era 300 with the 16.1.1 firmware.

No idea about the brave new "courageous" app, I don't use it.

A few of the newest players can use their own microphones to measure the room response and calibrate Trueplay.  This feature can be toggled without requiring calibration of the controller’s microphones.

I set up my Sonos Arc with an Apple phone for Trueplay. I could never do Trueplay setup in the Android Sonos app but there used to be a toggle in Android Sonos app (S1), before the latest update (S2), that would allow me to toggle the Trueplay setting on or off.

Hey guys. I own a roam 2, on my Android app I do have the trueplay option and i toggled it on, while when I activated it the first time, my speaker made some installations. Does this mean that trueplay is indeed available on Android app devices? Who can answer us responsibly?
