I'd like the answer to this also as I spent years adding all my album artwork to almost 10k of albums and 42k tracks ...
Same issue for me, I managed to add my music library from my Synology NAS and it plays fine, but no album art displayed.
Is this part of the upcoming fixes in the app?
Local library album art is MIA throughout the Android app. Sonos is aware but it has not been called out specifically with an ETA.
Thanks for the update; I guess in time they'll provide a fix for this OTA soon, as it used to work before the wonderful May update that caused mayhem globally!

4 months since the new app and it can't be too a difficult job to include the album art in the app and to sort out the indexing issue with the compliation albums.
Hoping the next update sorts it, but not holding my breath!
Yes... Compilation albums still don't work it's ridiculous. Unless you know the name of a track and then chose all music on that album... Then you can find it :-(
I'm still hoping the lack of album art showing will be fixed. Such a straightforward issue should not take that long to be corrected. Show some pride of ownership someone on the Sonos development team and rectify this problem please!
How can a 3rd party app be able to work correctly with it's software including album artwork and yet SONOS STILL CAN'T RECTIFY THIS IMMEDIATELY????????

It's just talk ....as usual. Thier customer base just doesn't concern them. We have 21 products and I'm sick of being treated like we don't matter. Just can't afford to replace it all ...

I have 3 subs, 5 sound bars various ones and loads of speakers ... Whole house. So can't afford to replace it all. Which just makes me feel worse for the arrogance of Sonos .
The CEO should be replaced for the debacle they caused . Not to mention the stress they caused people.

There has been a good discussion of the Album Art issue here, the mess that Sonos has run into and how hard it is going to be to fix. Way too technical for my pre-coffee brain but a search here should find it if you want.
I can't prove it but I'd guess some system analyst skipped the analysis and said "no problem" when there was a problem.

It should be a very easy fix for a company that writes the code for its own equipment.

Every app I’ve ever used does it rather well including the 16.c Sonos app which I’m using right now to play my Cello Concertos playlist. Playlist loaded fast, art loaded fast, started playing right away.
The app prior to the May 80.x app upgrade. It had an orange icon. If you have an old iPhone with that app on it your in luck.

You used to be able to do it with APK Mirror, but I think that’s not possible any more.

If Sonos hasn't updated the speaker's firmware you were able to scrounge an old version of the App off the net and install it.
I avoid that sort of thing as it is hard to know who to trust or what you're actually getting.
