After having lost all of my alarms with the new app I was aware the function wasn’t there initially with the new app.

This  week I decide to give the function go as the capability is now visible and I’ve set up two new alarms. Set daily for different speakers, at different times with different playlists. 
neither of them have worked yet.

 

 I’d like to know categorically if I should be expecting this to work or not so I know whether to bother wasting time trying to troubleshoot it.

 

Can you check that your system time is set to the correct time zone in the Sonos App>Cog wheel>Manage>Date & Time
