Howdy y’all. I was wondering what the status is for using custom music services on the Android Sonos app? I have been using Airsonic-Advanced for many years now (Subsonic prior). Here is the documentation link if anyone is curious or needs more details on how this works: https://github.com/airsonic-advanced/airsonic-advanced/blob/master/SONOS.md

This represents 99%+ of what I use my Sonos system for. I can’t seem to make sense of whether or not this is something that is on the roadmap for future fixing? I am assuming this is a result of the android app update a few months ago, since that is when it stopped working. I use this all day every day, so it was easy to notice. I can fully use my Airsonic-Advanced service with the Windows and iPad Sonos apps, so that is how I am currently getting by. Anyway, if anyone has any information that could at least inform me about this, I would be very appreciative of your time and effort.

Thanks!

Hi @Trekker7495

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

Airsonic has never been supported by Sonos - I can only recommend getting in touch with the author for help.

In regards to custom services, I can’t really help beyond supplying this link: https://docs.sonos.com/docs/submit-your-service. The documents there might describe how to test a service on a Sonos system prior to it being made available - I’m not sure how else it could be done.

I hope this helps.
