My PC-based contoller loses connection with the Sonos network from time to time and I also get messages that my connection with my wireless network printer is getting lost. I'm wondering whether the wireless link with the printer and link with the Sonos network are conflicting somehow?

is there a sonos unit beside the printer. Have you tried changing the wireless channel of the sonos in the setup menu.

As Chris suggested, this could be caused by wireless interference. Please check the wireless channel on your Sonos system and that of your router to make sure the two aren't overlapping. It's best to have at least 5 channels between the router and the Sonos channel.
