I was wondering if there is a way to control my sonos connect and amp through a web browser entering a URL of my player or the IP address or something similar?

We don't make an official web controller for Sonos, though there are some which may work not developed by us. We'll let the community answer, as Chris already started.

I'm running this on Ubuntu Mate 18.04 and it works like a charm!!!
