This morning, my ESET Antivirus reported a “suspicious file” found - sonos.controller.desktop.resources.dll and deleted it.

So I tried a re-install, the same thing happens during install.

I have had the same via the auto-update and also downloading the latest exe file. Currently trying to see if I can submit to ESET.

This is also happening with me on the S2 controller as it appears to use many of the same dlls.

For the time being, I have created an exclusion for the SonosV2 folder under program files so that it won’t scan files in that directory and restored the ‘deleted’ files from ESET’s quarantine and the application is now working again.

This isn’t obviously an ideal solution but it’ll suffice until ESET fix their detection

Did you try forcing ESET update? What version of engine are you running?

I noticed my ESET updated 3 times so far today (now on 21514), and I don’t see issue on S1 or S2 Controller dll.

Seems ESET have sorted the issue mine is now working also 21514 also.

I thought so, too, but now seems like it’s back :(
