I have an existing play 1 that I want to Group with a new Sonos One. The purpose is to use the Airplay2 support on Sonos One to watch ALL video sources (youtube, Netflix, others) via IPad and iPhone. But without using Alexa voice control feature. Will such a group set up be stable ?

It defaults to no Alexa. Never enable the skill and it will function just like a normal Sonos speaker.

Also like to mention, the microphone is hardwired to the LED, so if the mic is powered on, the LED is lit. That way, there is no way for the speaker to be listening when you are not aware.
