Hi Guys,

Does anyone know whether the Move will be receiving the functionality recently announced for the Roam where it can seamlessly transfer from wifi to bluetooth when out of wifi range?

Cheers,

Wayne

Hi @WayneDyer

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Thanks for your interest but at present, we have nothing to share on any Roam features being ported over to the Move. I’ll treat your question as a feature request so it gets passed along to the relevant team for consideration.

@James L.  (Sonos staffer) said this in the Roam announcement thread.

Automatic Trueplay on Bluetooth is available on Move right now (S2 version 13.0+)! We’re looking into applying the other new features, such as Sound Swap, in the future but have no further information to share at this time.

Hi,

Does anyone know, is it possible (when roam is in bluetooth mode) to stream music directly from android phone from youtube, or everything must go through sonos app and sonos streaming services even on bluetooth?

Thank you

When the Roam (or Move) is in bluetooth mode you connect android to the speaker as you would connect any bluetooth device.   You then playback audio from any app, including youtube, on your phone.   The Sonos app is just a controller for sonos speakers on a WiFi network, and has no streaming capabilities itself, even for Sonos radio.  When in WiFi mode, the Roam will access a streaming service directly, not through your phone at all.

In Bluetooth mode, the Roam will function as any other Bluetooth speaker. So any audio you play from your Android phone will play out of the Roam including YouTube videos.

Yep.  I play this game with @Airgetlam quite frequently as well.
