In the new 2024 Sonos App :
Where are the alarms settings?
Where is the Last.fm service?
Where is the Android widget?
This is a real nightmare. I hope Sonos will fix all that asap because what they did releasing this not finished app is scandalous.

The NAS manual will give you the internal path for the NAS.
Your router’s clients listing will give you the internal name.
Depending on the NAS it may have a default user or you may need to enter one.
Then it works just as expected in the Sonos setup.
The NAS may offer a Public Share that doesn’t need a user name or password, the NAS manual should give you the internal path name for that as well.

Thanks very much, Stanley. I’m assuming you’re on Windows? Being on an iMac seems to have screwed the pooch when it comes to the ability to make adjustments to the SMB versions. Right now I need to weigh the importance of spending another $300 on a NAS and switcher (if it would be that cheap) as opposed to leaving it as-is and utilizing Sonophone to play my curated music. But, I’m one that when somethings not right, it bugs the crap out of me.
Windows? Perish the thought! I haven’t had to use that since I retired.
I’m using various Linux and BSD operating systems here.
I spent little on my original Sonos Music NAS, that for a Raspberry Pi 3B. Added scrounged bits and got it running. I’d use a Zero 2 W for $15 today or if I wanted wired one of the wired ones I’d get a Pi 5 2 GB or shop for a used Pi 3 (any version) for a lot less.
Setup is pretty easy, I’d recommend the “Less Technical” version here:

Ha! Great reply, Stanley. I’ll look up the link you sent. I’ve already reached out to a friend who drools over tech stuff like this. What’s easy for you is Greek to me. Thank you.
Yikes! That Raspberry Pi thing is pretty heady stuff. I wouldn’t dare step into that. My background with computers revolves around the first Apple Computers introduced to the oil company graphics department I worked in back in the early to mid 80’s. I’m good with Macs and Adobe software but nothing outside that arena. Thus, my exit from complex analog sound system configurations to Sonos. Now, to me, it’s becoming complex again.
When is the useless app going to be updated, as I am ready to burn the lot ?
My hope, suggestion, everyone at SONOS go home and don't come back! This especially includes ALL management!
I just downloaded a song and wanted to add it to one of my playlists. Since the assholes at Sonos still haven’t added a Save button to the IOS app, I had to turn on my PC and go into the Sonos Controller app and add it that way and use the Save Queue feature at the bottom. I’ve been complaining about this feature for months now and have mentioned this numerous times to tech support after waiting countless hours on hold. This is really amazing.
