In the new 2024 Sonos App :
Where are the alarms settings?
Where is the Last.fm service?
Where is the Android widget?
This is a real nightmare. I hope Sonos will fix all that asap because what they did releasing this not finished app is scandalous.

Looking for a sonos competitor. REALLY FRICKIN TIRED of trying to fix this damn system everytime they put a new app version out. This last app is the worst app of all the apps on my phone. Practically unusable. Most companies learn from past mistakes, evidently sonos doesn’t!!! Get your s*&t together!
I’m using Android 80.00.04-release+20240507.671145b Sonos OS S2 Build 1 with 3 x Play:1, 2 x Play:3, 1 x One SL and 1 x Roam
I can stream to Roam only, or to any combination of the fixed speakers - but I can’t group Roam with the fixed speakers - it just says ‘Unable to Connect’
When will this be fixed? What can I do to overcome the problem?
Hello,
Over the years I have created a number of playlists in the Sonos app and would regularly add songs to them. However, since the app update I cannot find those playlists. How do I find them?
thanks
No radio stations on new version of sonos. PLEASE FIX.
Revert this piece of garbage back to Beta and give us access to the old one. You had no business releasing this app in its current state. Bad Sonos Bad.
What is the reason for the new app?
It's an absolute disaster!
I'm so angry that overnight that my use of SONOS has gone from perfect to literally not fit for purpose.
I can't search my music library stored on NAS drive, this has been my preferred use of the system since I became a SONOS user more than 10 hrs ago.
If I do play an album from my music library the album art is missing.
I can no longer set alarms or sleep timers.
The app has become laggy, with mostly empty icons.
I am seriously looking for a replacement service, not to be done lightly given £1,000s spent on SONOS kit over the years.
I have consistently recommended SONOS universally to friends and family for years.
You have destroyed this customer satisfaction overnight. My current advice to friends and family would be shop elsewhere.
And I've just read and realised all the playlists I've compiled over years have disappeared!
I thought it couldn't get any worse!
I am not sure. But i think Sonos do not care
I’m sure they don’t :-(
Buy our expensive speakers so we can give you the worst possible listening experience through our POS app
I Can’t get TruePlay to work and it locks up the app at the point where you spin the phone around.
S2 was much more user friendly as well.
Hello. I'm using an Android phone with Sonos Arc, One, Five, Roam.
After a recently updated app, I can't see a TruePlay Setting(even in “Roam” which autotunes Trueplay).
In the past, After I set Trueplay with iPhone, I could control Truplay with Android phone.
Where is the Truplay?
After the update I can only see four of my 20+ Sonos playlists that my family and I built up over the years. Having lost all trust in Sonos I am now re-entering them in Spotify manually, which is a pain. I don't see any fix for this on the planned fixes list you published, so I am expect that I will not be able to use my system fully in the foreseeable future. I have been a big fan of Sonos the last 15 years, but this is a shambles and in no way the behaviour for a premium brand.
Having worked in IT myself I can see the appeal for leaving legacy behind and build something new and better from the ground up, but if you now rush functionality it is bound to introduce new bugs and issues and you will not even achieve a new clean code base. I can only echo what everyone says: make the old app available, take your time to solve the issues structurally and then come back. Maybe you can regain some trust from the user community that way.
Well, consider yourself lucky you can see 4 of your playlists. Like you, I have many Sonos playlists, some quite lengthy, and I can’t access any of them on this new mobile app.
Stopping by to agree with the complaints regarding the new app. I have 15+ pieces of equipment - PLEASE stop making me regret this. At some point I will find a better solution and divest if it starts to be more work/annoying than useful/enjoyable.
Radioplayer is not working
I have 3 systems in different locations
every time I change location my Sonos app in my mobile phone doesn’t see the previous system and I have to follow the instructions on the app to connect to the new system
with the older version when I moved to another location of mine the app connects automatically to my system and no need any actions
can everyone help on this?
Hello.
Nothing of the new app is better. Nobody un the company tested the app before?
Please, cancel this evolution and redesign with more sense.
Dear Patrick Spence (CEO)
How many times do Sonos users have to tell you that the new app is junk.
1x, 100x, 1000x, 10,000x, etc.
When will you come to your senses that you made a mess of it.
Or are you so arrogant that you continue to insist that you have created a great new app.
If you think the last, then you have no plank, no beam, but a tree trunk for your head. Because I can't say for you brains because you don't seem to have any.
Otherwise you would never have released this crappy app.
Please put app version 16.1 back in the AppStore so that everyone can enjoy your beautiful music system again.
Thank you in advance.

I wanted to raise my concerns about the security aspects of the new Sonos web app.
While it's exciting to see the promises of enhanced user experience and better remote access, it's essential for us to consider potential security risks that might come with it.
One concern stems from Sonos' history with security challenges. Take, for example, the discovery of security flaws in Sonos One wireless speakers during a hacking contest back in May 2023. These vulnerabilities could potentially enable attackers to execute arbitrary code or access sensitive information.
Another aspect to consider is the sign-in process for the web app. Currently, it only requires your Sonos account email address and password, with no additional layers of security like two-factor authentication or passkeys. This raises questions about the adequacy of measures to prevent unauthorized access.
Moreover, if you have locally stored music, it's likely on a PC or network storage device. Given recent issues with app upgrades, it's valid to question how well Sonos has ensured that a breach in the login procedure couldn't lead to exploitation of network links.
Common web application vulnerabilities like Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Injection Attacks are also potential threats. It's crucial to understand what protections are in place to mitigate these risks.
While Sonos has addressed security issues in the past, the transition to a web-based platform introduces new challenges. We need clear communication from Sonos regarding the specific security enhancements and protections implemented in the new web app.
Yup!
I m using the old app again...new crap app cant find system all the time...takes minutes

Their CEO is from RIM/Blackberry - so I’m not sure learning from mistakes is his core competence. And their product guy, well he’s the one that said it was “Courageous” for them to release this POS app and wants us all to wait MONTHS for them to slowly release updates to fix the F--k ups so we can actually use the hardware we purchased with their sh*t app…
The latest app update on android (released today, and identified as 80.00.05-release+20240510.78d060b) continues to crash on startup on my Google Pixelbook Go (a chromebook running ChromeOS which can run Android apps) in the same way as 80.00.04-release+20240507.671145b
Earlier versions (up to and including Sonos 16.1) worked fine and I relied on them to control my sonos players from my chromebook.
On my other android devices I’ve uninstalled the stock version and sideloaded the 16.1 APK, but ChromeOS’s much stricter security policy only allows sideloading in developer mode; enabling or disabling developer mode on ChromeOS requires erasing the device’s internal storage which is too big a hammer for me.
Anyone know how to join the Sonos App ask me anything session at 11am PT today. Here is the link they shared but it doesn’t take you to a web session as best I can tell:
Such a terrible experience using this app when every time you open you get this , it’s puts me off playing my music,
