With the new app is there a way to create multiple households?  Does the concept of multiple households still exist in new controller app?

Sonos have never supported multiple locations within the App, although with using multiple controllers it was possible.  A Sonos account is meant to be location/network subnet specific.

@UKMedia So you mean it was never supposed to be possible (but did work), and isn't possible anymore?

As far as I understand how this used to work different controllers where not necessary. You'd just use the app on your phone en (soamtimes after a reset of the app) it would pick up the second household wehen you walked in. I have never used this and see it moght be a prpblem now a Sonos set up can be commanded from the internet using the same crdentials created to set up two systems.

I don’t think the new App version has changed anything.  The official advice is to create two Sonos accounts, one per location.  Especially if you use Voice Control. as you can start music playing in either location if you are not careful.

Yes absolutely you can have multiple households in the app. In the old working version it would seamlessly switch between them when you were on the different network. That of course doesn’t work anymore - you have to go to settings an manually find the “new” system each time you want to switch but it does more or less allow you to do that.

@CT_OD If you read my post above, I didn’t say it wouldn’t work but that it’s not supported - two totally different things.

@UKMedia I think saying it’s not supported is misleading when it does in fact, work. And you further misrepresent the truth by claiming that you need multiple controllers which you do not. So give it a rest.

I’ll leave it to you to add your knowledge to this thread then. 😁
