What set up do I need to qualify for lossless equipment wise. I have arc, play3 & sub gen2. I just wondered if there were any minimum or preferred requirements. Someone seemed to think that his wasn’t compatible as he only had a gen2 sub. I wasn’t aware that any subs were incompatible with anything.

Lossless?  For audio, all Sonos devices ever made support lossless audio, up to 24 bit/48 kHz (ALAC AND FLAC).  For home theater codecs, you need an eArc connection for lossless and the Arc or Beam Gen 2.

You also need Lossless tracks, primarily via a streamer that supports this (e.g. Apple Music). Have you (or he) tried playing tracks? Is the Lossless tag not showing on playback?
