I just got my Sonos Connect, and I thought I was able to connect it to my Pro-Ject Essential III turntable. Everything checked out just fine, exept, The Line In is set to deactivated. I can change it. Without it being activated I can use my turntable as an extern source.

Please could you explain what you mean by 'set to deactivated'?

Under the 'Line In' option, it simply states, deactivated (in Danish) as to say that it is not on? But I have no chance to turn it on.
I have posted a screenshot.

Are you sure that you have something plugged in to the analog line in? It normally wouldn't show up at all, as far as I know, if there wasn't anything plugged in, but I've never heard of it not being able to be "activated" before. I might be tempted to power cycle the CONNECT.

Jelle Nilsson,

That actually looks to me like a “line-out” source screen rather than your “line-in” .. I don’t have a “Connect” so can you perhaps double-check that, as my Danish is also non-existent. I think you’re looking in the wrong place in the App... er, perhaps?

I suspect, based on my English app, that this is actually 'disconnected'. That is, no cable is detected in the line in connection. If there is a cable there, have you mistakenly put it in the line out?

Does your turntable have a built in phono-amp? If not the signal may not be strong enough for the Connect to register it and notice the line in is in use. See https://en.community.sonos.com/music-services-and-sources-228994/using-a-turntable-with-sonos-6769426

See https://en.community.sonos.com/music-services-and-sources-228994/using-a-turntable-with-sonos-6769426The Connect will show the line in as connected even if there is no device attached to the cable, so it won't be anything to do with the signal strength.
