How to adjust TV volume with Amazon Fire Stick

I have a Amazon Fire Stick hooked up to a HDMI to audio adapter, then hooked up to a Sonos Play 5 with the aux in port.  Sounds awesome.

The only problem is that to control the volume you have to use the Sonos app or Alexa.  Is there any way to adjust the Sonos volume with a normal TV remote - or preferably the Amazon fire controller?

Not with the PLAY:5. It doesn’t have an IR receiver, you’d need one of the Sonos sound bars or a Sonos Amp, which are designed to be used when connected to a TV. Then they’d recognize the IR remote when on the TV input.

Is there a way to control the volume on a Playbase with the remote on a fire TV, which I believe is controlled via bluetooth? Right now I can only control the volume using the Sonos app or directly on the Playbase.

Not via Bluetooth, no. If you can make that remote create an IR signal, that would work, but the PLAYBASE has no Bluetooth antennas in it.
