Hi,

I’m aware Apple Music streams via S2 app at 256kps AAC at 16-bit, 44.1kHz (and slightly lower quality via AirPlay).

Does anyone know these specs for Amazon music via S2 app when it says ‘HD’ (not ‘UHD’)?

Thanks! 🙏

Amazon music uses FLAC for the HD tracks  and indeed the UHD ones, this means at HD they are 16/44.1 but the bitrate being FLAC is variable, from low kbps on silence to over 1000 kbps on complex passages. Probably  averages out around 800-900kbps.

Amazon describes this as “CD-quality (aka “lossless”)”. See https://www.amazon.com/music/unlimited/why-hd.
