The question should really be “does Apple support Apple Smart Playlist (in their SMAPI service)”, and they do not.

Yeah, smart playlists aren’t supported within Apple Music.
With each no, the more I am convinced I am going to swap all my sonos speakers for Apple Homepods.
You do know that the Homepod is considered by many to be a flop? Just Google “Homepod flop” or “Homepod failure”. And remember, Apple tends to bury their flops, ceasing all support, and making it seem like they never existed.
Smart playlists are available after setting up a file share under ‘Browse → Music Library → Imported Playlists’.
