Same question as https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/automatic-loudness-control-6819488 which was asked 2 years ago, can we get an official answer from Sonos whether the Loudness setting intelligently kicks in only during low volume or it has the same effect regardless of volume level?

Loudness

Boosts certain frequencies, including bass, during low listening volumes. This is designed to compensate for normal changes in the ear’s sensitivity when listening to audio at low volumes.

If the ears don’t inform of this, how does any “official” response help?

I’m curious to know what it means by “low” volumes in that statement, 30%, 40%, 50%? Is it a straight cut-off, or the effect subsides as volume goes up?

Sometimes I can hear things louder while playing movies, but not sure if it’s intended by the producer or boosted by Sonos.
