I am a long time Sonos user (years).  I have changed room config and routers multiple times.  Until now I have never had any significant problems.  Now the app hardly ever connects to all (or sometimes any) of my 4 devices without restarting my phone or the router and / or a long wait.  I am reduced to using my Bluetooth connected speaker and am considering scrapping my Sonos (seriously).  I have fairly recently added a Play1 - the issue seems to have gradually worsened since.  Can anyone help?

Connecting one Sonos speaker directly to the router with an ethernet cable creates a SonosNet mesh network that can improve the network performance of all of your speakers.

Are you able to directly connect any Sonos speaker to your router with an ethernet cable?

Ok and thanks - I’ll give that a go.
