Hello,

Curious to know,

I have a Fluance RT84 turntable connected to a Cambridge Audio Alva Solo Moving Magnet Phono Preamplifier connected to a Sonos Five. It sounds great and I get lots of enjoyment listening to various genres of music. The connection from the preamp to the speaker is RCA to 3.5 using a cheap £8 cable. My question is should I buy a more expensive cable? And will I notice any difference in sound quality if I do?

Many Thanks

Simon

No.  High end cables are complete snake oil.  There are only two sources of extruded copper in the world, one in China and one in the US.  All cables are made from one or the other and both cost pennies a foot.
