Update to app with Gen 1 products

How do I get a return to the S1 app after being auto upgraded to the new app?  The new app has many dead zones and does not respond well to the Connect One that controls the whole home system. The new app sucks with my equipment that has worked great for 8 years. I do not want to spend $1000 to buy new hardware when what I have has worked so well. What are my options to go back to the old system app?
