Switching from wireless to wired

Dear community, I have a 5.1 with the playbar and another 6 play one in my flat. Today I plugged an ethernet cable in one of the play one not part of the 5.1 and, naively, expect all the speakers to switch from wm1 to wm0. Unfortunately only the one I plugged in switched to wm0.

How can I fix it?

Thanks

Did you by any chance ‘disable WiFi’ on the wired speaker? If so re-enable it.

Thanks ratty, you are a sonos magician. Out of curiosity, the IP of the speakers are still in the same subnet of my router. Is that normal?

No magician. Just someone who has repeatedly observed that the “disable WiFi” labelling in the controller could hardly be more misleading, as it actually disables the radio(s) entirely and hence any ability of the wired device to support SonosNet.

On the second point, yes the IPs are in the same subnet. The wired Sonos device acts as a bridge, not a router.
