I’m having issues and the system is largely useless 

it used to work fine in multiple rooms but now I keep getting the “connection to Spotify lost” and tracks are skipping or just not playing.

ive checked for updates and reset/reinstalled all 7 speakers 

please help

Interruptions/instability may be caused by wifi interference. There are some suggestions here and also information about interference.

Also, a system refresh may help: power off all Sonos, restart router and wait until it is full back, then power on Sonos one at a time.

If you have ruled out interference, submit a diagnostic and post the diagnostic number here for Sonos staff to look into, or call Sonos Support to discuss the diagnostic.
