Sonos sub flashes white light, won't connect to surround sound

My sonos sub, after working perfectly for over a year, started flashing a white light.  I reset it, got the flashing green light, the sub connected to the wi-fi and I was able to have it appear on the app in the room where it belongs.  However, it would not connect to the surround sound.  Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Unplug the Sonos soundbar you are trying to connect the Sub to for a couple of minutes and reboot your router and try to connect the Sub again. Also be sure WiFi is enabled under the soundbar’s settings.
