Sonos starts playing in the middle of the night

Hi!

As others, I had the pleasure of waking up to loud music at around 1.15 in the middle of last night, as one of our Play:1 started playing music. It was something we listened to a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t been using the speaker since.

i just ran a diagnostic, but unfortunately I didn’t know about the feature last night. Is there someone who can help me look into what happened?

I unplugged the speaker to make sure it didn’t happen again.

My diagnostic number: 2094442993

Hi @JensC

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

As you have no alarms set on Sonos, it seems likely that the Spotify app or a Voice Assistant initiated playback. If this doesn’t help you figure out the problem, I recommend you get in touch with our support team directly.

Thanks!

No Alexa or similar. Is it possible to establish what initiated the playback through the diagnostic

Absolutely, but please don’t reboot the speaker or that information will be lost until it happens again.

98% chance it is Spotify Direct.
