I have Sonos beam with 2 play one’s. The play ones keep disconnecting frequently. I followed the troubleshooting steps on the forum now the problem is in the app play ones appear to have music played on them but it is not. Need your help, at times it is frustrating to do the same things again and again with no permanent solution.

Are the Play:1s bonded to the Beam as surround speakers or are they set up as a separate room?

They are setup as stereo under a different room, I select the same music to play in all rooms avail.

Try separating the Play:1s as a stereo pair in the Sonos app and unplugging them from power for a couple of minutes. Then reboot your router. Swap the positions of the Play:1s and plug them back in and pair them again as a stereo pair.

Did follow what you suggested. getting back to the app now I only see one play1, can’t see Beam and other play1.

What model router are you using? Are any of your speakers close enough to the router where you could wire one of them with an ethernet cable?

Netgear nighthawk, all within 10-15 feet so can connect Ethernet cable. Let me know what to do.

Wire the Beam to the router with an ethernet cable and wait a couple of minutes for your speakers to connect to SonosNet. If your speakers are connected correctly, when you go to System > About My System, you will see each speaker listed as “WM: 0”. Then test your speakers.

Okay it works for now, will wait for 20 mins.

so if it works I need to connect the cable permanently?

Yes, if possible, you should keep it permanently connected. By wiring one speaker, you created SonosNet - a dedicated mesh network only used by your Sonos devices. This should give you more reliable network performance for all of your Sonos speakers.

Does it have to be the beam that is connected or will it work with any play 1 connected?

It will work with a Play:1 wired too.

What if I want to play a Amazon music on one play1 &  connect beam/play1 to tv?

What if I want to play a Amazon music on one play1 &  connect beam/play1 to tv?

You would have to separate the stereo pair of Play:1s and play music only to one Play:1.

If you want to play TV audio on the other Play:1, you will group the Play:1 with the Beam in the Sonos app. But you might experience a slight audio delay from the Play:1 when playing TV audio.

Thanks for your help, will check and let you know if I see any other issue.
