So I’ve had this speaker for over a year and recently it has started to disconnect from my WiFi randomly. It will just stop playing the song and when I try to get it work through Alexa it says it’s having a problem understanding. When I go into the app it says that it cannot cone t with the speaker because the speaker isn’t connected to the WiFi. Everything else in my house (tv, computer, phone, tablet) is all still connected so it’s not an internet issue. It won’t work again until I have unplugged the speaker and plugged it back in. It is doing this daily at this point. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It’s likely due to a bad IP address having been given to the system by your router. Try a simple refresh, by unplugging all Sonos devices from power, then reboot your router. Once the router comes back up, plug back in the Sonos devices.

If that doesn’t work, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it, or post the diagnostic number here for a Community Moderator to pick up.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, there are more options available beyond just the diagnostic analysis.
