Issues adding YT Music songs to Sonos queue.

Does anyone else have issues adding YouTube Music songs to the queue? I own an IKEA Sonos symfonisk and it worked just fine until today when it just won't let me play any songs from my YouTube music account. Every other service I use works fine, my YouTube account is fine and the subscription is active. I have tried reseting the app and the speaker, nothing. Any ideas?

Hi @valentindecu, Thank you for reaching out and welcome to the community. Thanks for bringing this up, and I know where you're coming from on this issue with your Youtube Music. I’ll ask some questions so we can check further on this issue.

  • When did the issue start happening? Did it work before?
  • Is there any error message that you’re getting when adding songs to the queue?
  • Have you tried it on another controller device you have the Sonos App if it is still the same?
  • Kindly check this link about Unable to add songs to queue for some troubleshooting steps.

Keep me in the know with the advice above.

Hi @Simon B ,

Here are additional details:

  • When did the issue start happening? Did it work before?

Response : it started this week, it has worked before. There was no event happening between the time it worked and when it stopped working, nothing like router or Internet changes, the device worked on the evening and stopped working the next day.

  • Is there any error message that you’re getting when adding songs to the queue?

Response: the error is 701

  • Have you tried it on another controller device you have the Sonos App if it is still the same?

Response: by device controller you mean another phone, yes, my wife has the app as well and she has a different YT Music account. Doesn't work.

  • Kindly check this link about Unable to add songs to queue for some troubleshooting steps.

Response : this is the first thing I did, forgot to mention in my comment. Tried everything here. Reset router, reset app, reset device, back to factory settings...

Any ideas?

Hi @valentindecu, thanks for the update and for all the information that you provided. I want to ask if the songs you’re playing on your YouTube music are uploaded songs, or are you streaming songs from it? Because if it is uploaded songs, I checked our resources, and we have ongoing issues for uploaded songs queue on Youtube Music.

Keep me in the know with the advice above.

The Sonos community is always here to help.

Hi @Simon B ,

The songs I am adding to the queue are streamed ones, not uploaded by me.

The good news is that today the service started working again just like that, nothing changed, I just tried again in the morning to add a songs to the queue and it worked.

The bad news is that this happened with no explanation so now I don't know what caused this and how it can be avoided in the future.

This device is the first Sonos I own and the plan is to extend the system, but I rely heavily on YT Music as my main music streaming service. Having issues like this concerns me and poses some questions regarding the reliability of the service. I had no ability to stream YT Music for at least 5 days :(

Any ideas on what might have caused this? What should I do if it happens again in order to get an accurate diagnostic?

Thanks for your availability regarding this issue!
