I am installing a Sonos system in a new house build. I have 2 pair (4 speakers) of the new Sonos 8” in-ceiling speakers in one room and 1 pair (2 speakers) of the Sonos 6” in-ceiling speakers in another room. I would like to connect all 6 Sonos in-ceiling speakers to the same Sonos AMP. I would like to put an impedance volume control in line with the 2, 6” speakers so I can control them separately while on the same zone. Two questions. Will this setup work? Will the Monoprice 300-Watt Rotary Impedance Matching Speaker Volume Control work for this application? Thank you

Connecting all six speakers to the Amp should work, that is within the specifications Sonos provides. I’m not sure of the impact on Trueplay.

The volume control also should work although the question there about limited volume is worrisome. There are other brands that might be better but I haven’t compared them.

The best plan would be to add a control for both the 6” room and the 8” room. With a control only in the 6” room you could end up with a situation where the 8” room is too loud while the 6” room is not loud enough.
