So i’m considering attempting the sonosnet setup for my system. my understanding is that all i need to do is connect a speaker directly to my router, and sonos knows what to do. I’ve read that a private 2.4gz network will be created for the sonos speakers to connect to (even though i have 2.4gz disabled on my router).
My question is this….I want to keep my 2.4gz disabled to utilize the speeds i get from my new wifi 6 setup. but i do have one device (garage door) that i would like to be able to connect to my system (and it only connects with 2.4gz). is there a way to utilize the 2.4gz wifi band that sonos has created for itself for other devices outside the sonos ecosystem?…..if so, i could keep 2.4 disabled, but still have the devices that require 2.4 to still connect…..
please advise.
thanks…
GG
