I have an amp connecting my tv and my Apple TV and speakers using eathernet . I’ve noticed my sound goes out randomly using some appS and I need to go out of the app, click around, and then sound pops back up… ideas ?

Have you tried rebooting the Apple TV? What are the audio settings of the Apple TV set to? Have you tried connecting the Apple TV to a different HDMI port on the TV?
Tried reboot. It’s a brand new receiver (Yamaha ), tv (Samsung frame). Only old piece is the 1st generation amp (controlled by S1) so figured that may be issue ?
There’s at least one, perhaps several threads about issues of the CEC implementation of the Samsung Frame. Samsung appear to either have faulty electronics, or an inability to address software bugs in their firmware.
