I have an album converted from FLAC to Apple Lossless that plays fine in the Music app but Sonos won’t play it. I have other converted albums that play fine through Sonos.  What might be different about this one album?

Hi @mannyprogdon

Thanks for your post!

Do the bitrates of your problematic ALAC files exceed 1411kbps, or do the sample rates exceed 48kHz? Either will prevent playback on Sonos.

Also, just to be clear, where are the files physically stored?

Do you get any messages when attempting to play, and does it look like it’s playing in the app but you hear no sound, or does it not indicate playback in the app at all?

The bit and sample rates do exceed those limits.

Might be worth reviewing the supported audio formats FAQ.
