I have an assortment of older Sonos speakers and I was wondering, what component/s do I need to add to connect directly to my Wi-Fi network?  I’m currently using two Sonos bridges atm.

First, I’d retire the BRIDGES, they’re  ‘ancient’ tech, and subject to issues with the power supply. Try wiring one of your speakers directly, or hang them off your own WiFi signal. All of Sonos components can hang off your WiFi, just follow the instructions in the wired and wireless modes FAQ.

Weisse App ist S1, schwarz ist S2. Die Deutche community findest Du hier: Willkommen in der Community | Sonos Community

If I get rid of my ‘bridge’ how will my older system connect to my network.  I was hoping to integrate a new component, like a new speaker, to make the bridge setup unnecessary, will this work?  My system I’m trying to integrate without needing a bridge is a first gen sound bar and two play one speakers, all work well. thank you all in advance!

You would have two options, as explained in The wireless and wired systems FAQ.

Essentially, you can run an Ethernet cable to a regular (non surround, non Sub) Sonos device, or you can hang your system off of your WiFi. Either would work.
