I have 5 pcs of gen 1 amps providing connection to my external speakers all over the house.
if i change one of the amps to the new generation, will i be able to play airplay music to all existing old amps?

You can Airplay to the new Sonos Amp and group its room with any other Sonos Room - so the answer is yes, you just need to group your gen1 products with the new Amp.
