Sub and Ceiling choices for cinema room

We are Remodeling our house, and creating a relatively small (10 ft x 12 ft) room for watching TV/movies.

We intend to reuse Arc and play:1 or One speakers for rear surround.  Thinking about adding sub amp and two sonance architectural ceiling speakers for enhanced (5.1.2 ??) surround.  Any guidance?  Does this sort of setup make sense?

Thanks!

Matt

With the Arc, you can only add up to two Subs (one must be a Gen 3) and two surround speakers for a 5.2.2 setup. The last “.2” is already part of the Arc since it has two upward firing drivers. You cannot add any more speakers to this setup. You can group more speakers with this setup, but you will experience a slight delay from the grouped speakers when playing TV audio.

Thanks!  So sounds like i should skip ceiling speakers but adding sub to arc would be a good idea — what would be advantage of two subs?

A second Sub can be good for larger rooms, but since your room is only 10 x 12, one Sub will be sufficient.
