Hi all! I just recently bought a Sonos Ace, and I created my account to add them to the Sonos App. Researching a little bit about the functionalities I noticed I can add content services such as Apple Music (my case), Spotify, Amazon Music, etc. to the App; but my surprise it’s I can’t add those services in the App, literally the function is unable. Is this function only available in certain regions? I live in Mexico and all the services I listed before are available.

I already uninstalled the App and reset it, but it looks this didn’t work at all. So, idk if this an issue with App, or if I need to do some trick. Thanks!

You can only use the Sonos App in-built services with their speakers, amp etc. and connections over WiFi. They don’t work for the Ace, or other products, whilst solely connected over Bluetooth only. Just use the ‘native’ App for playback instead from your chosen service.

Note the Sonos App is not an ‘audio player’ it’s there to setup/control/configure the playback on Sonos products.. so it’s a mostly a ‘remote’ for their products in any case.

That makes sense. My question was bc I saw a YouTuber playing Spotify through the Sonos App in the Sonos Ace, but I think that was bc he also has a speaker.

Yeah I have done this aswell. I use a Sonos Port.

I play the Sonos in-built music services, including Sonos Radio, Amazon Music etc. to the Port ‘room’ and output via its coax digital line-out to a Bluetooth Apt-X HD Transmitter (Fiio BTA30 Pro) which plays the streaming audio to our Ace headphones… it does allow for two Ace headphones to be connected at the same time, not that I bother to do that. I usually listen to music, whilst the WiFi prefers to use TV audio swap to listen to TV audio.
