Hello, this is a new issue. Various speakers cut out randomly only when input is from TV. Using music feeds from app works fine. Any ideas?
Are these grouped speakers, rather than surround speakers?
Hi there. No I do not have set up as surround. At first I thought it was only the knes that are also Bluetooth but I kept track for a while and it seems totally random. Multiple different ages and types of speakers. 5 SL1s, beam, sub, 2 roams in stereo but i did try unlinking them and 2 moves.
It makes a difference, as the type and ‘density’ of the signal is different between bonded surround and normal ‘peer’ speakers. It’s likely, due to the greater requirement of the TV’s input, that you’re suffering from some form of wifi interference . I would guess it’s an external influence of some type…something I’ve suffered when a neighbor moved or setup a new router/wifi device close enough to cause interference in my own WiFi. Took me about ten days of pulling my hair out to figure out why my system suddenly started having issues.
You could, of course, choose to submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.
There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.
When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
Thanks so much! Gives me a new direction.
