Sonos Beam with Samsung the Frame TV and Sonos One Speakers

I have two questions:

  1. I recently purchased a samsung the frame tv and have a Sonos beam sound bar. The sound bar is connected to the One Connect box and produces volume, but there is no way to control the volume using the Samsung remote. Can I change this?

  2. I have two Sonos One speakers that are connected to my living room. I tried adding the beam to the same Sonos group, but I get an error that my app is not the right one. I’ve uninstalled the Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 apps about twenty times, and I cannot get the app to recognize the sonos beam at all?

  1. Run setup again and make sure you set the TV to control the Beam.  Make sure CEC is set to ON for the TV.
  2. Unpair the two Ones - https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/separate-a-stereo-pair
  3. Add as surrounds - https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/add-surround-speakers-to-a-sonos-home-theater

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. A little clarification please.

Run set up on the TV or the Sonos app?

On the Sonos app.

“CEC” (Consumer Electronics Control) allows units to broadcast basic commands to each other. For example if you press Play on a Blue-Ray player it will notify the TV and SONOS you’ve pressed Play and they will power up and select the correct input.

Unfortunately, many manufacturers have assigned a private name for CEC. On SAMSUNG TV’s CEC is known as “Anynet” or “Anynet+”.

There’s a good list of ‘trade names’ for CEC over at Wikipedia
