Hello all,

I am considering adding a vinyl Platine to use it with the Sonos speakers that I have: 2 One SLs, 1 Beam and 1 Sub Mini. Could somebody tell me what additional equipment (Sonos Amp?)  I’d need to do so and what Platine works fine with the Sonos system ?

Thanks,

Andres

Sonos sells this combination: https://www.sonos.com/de-de/shop/turntable-set-pro-ject-t1-turntable-era-100?utm_campaign=rta_sonos_pmax_de_catch-all&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_content=rta_sonos_pmax_de_catch-all&utm_term=&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADwCY_ylD-3pbkiJNZsfrgl8to83_&gclid=CjwKCAiAyJS7BhBiEiwAyS9uNVfqNGd3nSxKMzyj66KvYO3cc8v_IPr1MSz7P_rqra6tNb1kL1Ck3hoCGSsQAvD_BwE

That’s all you need. You could also use a Sonos Port, but this is more expensive. The Amp you mentioned is even more expensive and would only be needed if you’d want to use non-Sonos speakers.

Hello 106rallye,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you know if the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable is compatible with One SL, Beam and Sub Mini ?

One thing I don’t understand is if it will connect to just one speaker or to the whole set at once (Beam, 2 One SLs and Sub Mini).

Thanks,

Yes, that turntable is compatible.  You need to connect it to a Sonos device with a Line-In (Port, Five, Era 100/300 w/ Line-In adapter) and turn the preamp on the turntable to ‘Line’.  Then go in the settings for the device with the Line-In and set the ‘Autoplay Room’ to the room with the Beam.  Set the Beam room surrounds to ‘Full’ for music sources and the turntable will play on all the speakers in the Beam room.

Thank you both for the information. Much appreciated.
