Why does my Sonos Beam think it is a light?

When asked to turn on the 'reading light' (a smart bulb) Alexa from the Sonos Beam responds with "what setting?" If given a setting the Sonos Beam then changes it's volume to that setting.

If this command is given to any other Alexa device the light works normally. This also used to work fine.

I've tried a factory reset and reconnected Alexa several times to no avail.

Can you check for duplicate group and device names within the Alexa App.
