I’ve had a Sonos 1 paired with a Sonos SL for over 2 years, using Alexa voice control. Everything has worked perfectly so far, but in the last few days my microphone on the Sonos 1 has switched off and I can’t get it to work again (the touch control on the speaker is non-responsive, the status in the Sonos app is ‘off’ but this is greyed out and I can’t change it).
I’ve checked in the Alexa app and there’s a red highlighted message saying ‘Device offline. Some settings may not be available’
As per the Sonos troubleshooting guidance, I’ve tried de-activating Sonos in the Alexa app.
The Sonos guidance also says to go to System Settings/Voice assistants/Remove Alexa. However when I access Voice Assistants there is no option to remove, only to add (it just states that Alexa is already added).
I’ve tried unplugging, etc but nothing works. It seems that there is no way to turn the microphone on (even though Alexa has been added).
Any help appreciated.
