Reminders sound but don't speak

My old reminders work perfectly speaking to me. All the new ones I make appear correctly in the Alexa app but just "bing" instead of talking. I suspect this is since I updated the Sonos version . I'm  loathe to reset up the device in case the working ones won't after I try and re jnstall.

 

Any ideas.

I seem to have fixed it by changing the play reminders setting on all devices to off.

 And would like to thank myself for all my help.

I've just noticed other posts with this problem. Unfortunately they are closed with no resolution or even comment which seems annoy the posters. Hopefully I'll get a response but based on what I'm  seeing I'm  not too hopeful and will be joining the other dissatisfied users.

Anyone care to guess if the problem is Sonos or Alexa. I'm tempted to swap to Google if there's any chance of that being a solution.
