Question

Make microphones more sensitive on sonos one?

I bought two Sonos One Gen 2 speakers to replace two echo dots.  But the speakers cannot understand me.  I literally have to yell into them from 2 feet away for them to understand me with no music or ambient noise.  From 5 feet away they understand me about 20% of the time.  The echo dots understand me from 20+ feet away in the same locations and environment.  I am very disappointed and expected more from Sonos.  I have a 15 speaker system in another house that works flawlessly, none with voice control though.  Guess I will have to return these speakers and go back to amazon devices.  Just hoping as a last ditch effort that maybe there is a setting somewhere to increase sensitivity?  This is not usable as it currently is.

I disabled the wake chime.  Works much better now!

You disabled the wake chime on Sonos? How?

Settings → services and voice → Alexa → (your speaker name) → wake word chime
